11 Great Gifts for Comic Book Lovers
89
Christmas is just around the corner, and you need gift ideas for that best friend/brother/cousin of yours that absolutely is in love with comic books!
As a comic book lover myself, and the best friend of someone who's life is practically devoted to them, I've taken the initiative to put together a list of some of the best Christmas gift ideas for comic book nerds!
You simply can't go wrong with something from this list!
1. Super Hero in a Box
What's one thing that every aspiring superhero needs in their wardrobe? That's right, a cape! This Super Hero in a Box kit comes with a great 30" one-size-fits-all blue satin cape, wristbands, and a mask to keep your true identity under wraps. Help save the world in style!
2. Ouch! Comic Strip Bandages
Let's face it, saving crime isn't always exactly painless -- You're bound to get a few cuts and bruises along the way to serving justice, so it's best to keep a few band-aids handy for when the time arises. Why not cover up your boo-boos with cool comic themed bandages?
3. Superhero Monopoly Board Game
Whoa, I didn't see this one coming! While I was going to suggest the idea of a Superhero Monopoly Board Game, I didn't expect for there to be so many different ones! Fantastic Four, Spider Man, Justice, League, and more... it's hard to choose just one! My personal favorite would definitely have to be the Marvel Comics Collector's Edition. It's so cool! I know what I'm getting myself for Christmas ;)
4. Superhero Shaped Rubber Bands/Sillybandz
Oh man, when I found these, I couldn't believe they existed! These would make amazing stocking stuffers or mini-gifts for the superhero lover. Why have boring old rubber bands when you can have rubber bands shaped like the Hulk?
5. Comic Photo Frame
Lighten up your living room with one of these super cool comic book layout photo frames! All you've got to do is add some crazy photos to highlight a great night out in the form of a comic book page. It even comes with a black ink marker pen and 45 thought bubble, narrative, and speech balloon stickers!
6. Super Hero Comic Book Postcards
See the iconic superheroes in the silver and golden age on these marvelous full-color postcards!
This would make a great gift for that person who collects rare or collectible postage supplies, like stamps! These postcards are 100% usable, but it's worth suggesting that they shouldn't be used! Keep these babies in a safe place, they might be worth a pretty penny some day.
7. DC/Marvel Pint & Shot Glasses
There are TONS of different superhero themed shot glasses & pint glasses to choose from -- so many, in fact, if I even tried to fit all the awesome ones into this list, the Internet might break (I had to really hold off with the Monopoly boards too). There's even Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle ones, too! You can see a larger selection of the glasses by clicking through the Amazon link if you're up for it.
8. Comic Toilet Paper
Alright, let's be mature adults right now... actually, never mind. Being mature is too boring! Show your childish (or just plain old nerdy) side by keeping a roll of comic toilet paper in your bathroom, or maybe your guest bathroom as a great conversation piece. The only thing to complain about is running out of this cool stuff!
9. Superman or Batman Apron
Get back in the kitchen!
Wait, wait -- get one of these aprons, first! You'll need something to shield you from the splashes of sauces while slaving over that stove!
There's a good selection of superhero themed aprons to chose from, but these two were just great!
10. DC Batman Varsity Hoodie
For some reason, I never really liked Batman all that much, but this hoodie makes me want to start being a fan just so that I can wear it! Two-tone black with yellow, this hoodie is possibly one of the coolest ones I've ever seen. I'm seriously definitely going to go and try to force myself to start liking Batman now. I need this hoodie.
11. DC or Marvel Comics Encyclopedia
When you're at your wits end and you really have no idea what to get that comic book nerd of yours, you can never go wrong with a comic book encyclopedia of their favorite comic franchise! These books are packed with full color pages, tons of info, and lots of fun!
